I do not support owning guns; I support my own faith in the quality of human nature. To give everyone a proper answer, however, let me begin with a quick story. Ten years ago, My fiancé was hit and killed by a drunk driver. I'm going to reemphasize that really quick... a drunk DRIVER. Alcohol did not kill the love of my life. A fast car did not kill the love of my life. He was killed by the poor decisions of one myopic individual. My greatest belief is that it's the responsibility of every human being to strive for excellence and be a positive role-model for those around them. Laws that remove our ability to be tempted into making poor decisions also remove our ability to grow into a society that is overwhelmingly resilient against that temptation.

I don't have any renders in my Stash right now, and I won't be home until at least this weekend. So I thought I would do something new. I call it "The Apathy" For as long as I can remember, I've been plagued with nightmares. And while they all share a common theme, they've always been isolated in a way - nonserialized and disconnected from one another. The Apathy is VERY different… each time I dream of it is a direct continuation of the previous time. The first half of my day went on as usual. It was Friday, so I let my students pick which activity we did. It was quite warm out, and both of my morning classes quickly chose swimming. I remember the Principal telling me when I first started that the former gym teacher always had trouble getting the students motivated about swim days, but they always seamed eager to jump in the pool with me... Five years ago today, I was legally bound to the love of my life. Gorgeous in every way, she has just the right amount of curves and a stare that can pierce your soul. Accessories are her specialty. Always wearing the most perfect thing to match her beautiful body. She was born a natural athlete - blessed with the perfect combination of agility, strength, and speed. And while she hides it all behind a cute and carefree exterior, making an enemy of her would be your single greatest mistake. It only takes her a second to go from purr to roar. She's confident, but can back it up. I learned very quickly not to underestimate her. She is charming, but definitely has her quirks... and there is no controlling her at all.
